The place was half empty with 10 minutes to go. It's such a cunt of a multi purpose sports arena.

Re: RIP West Ham
Last season our home form was superb, so far this season 3 home games, a defeat to shit from Romania, a scrappy 1-0 to Bournemouth and 2-4 defeat to Watford. I'm sure it's just a coincidence though.

Re: RIP West Ham
As an aside...in fact probably most importantly...there were a shit load of empty seats today.

Second home league game, first Saturday 3pm...it really isn't good at all

Oh I don't care chelmsford personally, I fell out of love with football ages ago and so I'm not bothered when we lose.

Not great knowing so many who still go aren't enjoying it though, as for many it's a huge part of their life's enjoyment which is now shafted and over.

Re: RIP West Ham
Funny, no one has said that.

Plenty said we'd win more by moving though.

Still, the game and the performance were minor issues by comparison today, which is why the few remaining OSERS are so desperate to keep harking back to it.

Structurally things aren't going to improve unless we buy the thing and redevelop it, which isn't likely to happen in our lifetime.

I've got soaked being in the front rows of grounds including UP. That's to be expected?

They can sort the shitty stones out though.

Re: RIP West Ham
Private , really , apart from a few games , I don't get this fantastic atmosphere at Upton Park. It went years ago with all seater stadiums . There's a lot wrong with the new stadium but trying to paint it as all things evil and Upton Park as all things great isn't addressing the real issue. Footballs changed and it's changed for ever , it's just the bigger the stadium the more noticeable it is.

Re: RIP West Ham
chelmsford-i didnt blame the ground-the fault firmly lies with our defence who gave the worst ever defensive display i can remember in many years.

"Anyone who believes stadiums win you games is a fucking moron"

Is the correct answer.

Re: RIP West Ham
Btw, when was the last time we were 2 up at home (against anyone) and lost 2-4 yet it's happened in only the second game here? Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.

Grumpster, you need to lighten up mate and not take every post so fucking seriously.

Re: RIP West Ham
We actually need a big game, against a big club, which I think would galvanise the fans, even though we would probably struggle at the moment.

UP was at its best against the big boys, not the minnows. This gaff will be no different.

Re: RIP West Ham
The stadium and atmosphere didn't prevent us from going two nil up and didn't cause Byram and Collins to play like absolute cunts.

Anyone who believes stadiums win you games is a fucking moron.

Re: RIP West Ham
Can they fix the fact that the roof doesn't cover thousands of seats ?

Can they fix the fact that thousands of seats are sitting on breeze blocks?

Can they fix the lime green fuzzy felt and the fact the dugouts are 70 yards from the pitch?

Can they fix the fact that the champions place stones are unreadable when it rains?

Get yourself over. It's a fucking shithole

Re: RIP West Ham
Ball - You have your opinions and I'll have mine. Let's leave it like that as you seem upset.

CH - Like I have said TWICE already, we will never know. Yes, we have seen us throw away leads before, but this is a good side that were 2 up and lost 2-4 to Watford. Like I said at UP the atmosphere there would have been different and would have been transmitted to the players, but that home advantage has pretty much gone now. Btw, Noble don't look his normal self either.

Re: RIP West Ham
The stadium isn't the problem. We could have moved to the best purpose built football stadium in the world, but if there isn't proper policing/stewarding then there is bound to be ag. Also the migration to a new stadium would still have created the same problem about sitting and standing, and diluted atmospheres unless they created proper safe standing or designated singing sections.

They need to address the problems with the stadium operators asap though as things are only going to get nastier if they don't. Not creating a family section is the biggest fuck up.

All in all, they are problems they can fix.

Re: RIP West Ham
He's only standing because of people standing in front of him chelmsford, as he can't see himself when sitting down.

Plus you ask someone politely, you don't just straight off threaten someone.

Way the world is nowadays, loads of cunts in it.

chelmsfordhammer 9:22 Sat Sep 10
Re: RIP West Ham
Davese' and how is that the fault of the stadium rather than the players.

Yes ball. And take a look across the board. People hate it. So your 'Experience ' is becoming increasingly isolated

Re: RIP West Ham
Grumpster, I have to say I'd be pretty fucked off if I had someone who's seven foot tall standing up in front of me.

Re: RIP West Ham
on the ball-against bournmoutyh last year it was individual errors-today it was collective chaos with watford carving through us at their leisure.
